January 12, 2007: Last Call for Presentations from 2007 Speakers
ASBO International is now accepting proposals to present in Toronto next year. ASBO leaders will select presentations to be given in 2007 at the 93rd Annual Meeting. All proposals must be submitted online by January 12th, 2007!

January 31: Apply to ASBO’s Certificate of Excellence Program
ASBO's Certificate of Excellence in Financial Reporting Program reviews the accounting practices and reporting procedures used by school districts in their Comprehensive Annual Financial Reports (CAFR), and enhances the award winners' credibility among stakeholders. COE Program applications are due within 6 months of your district's fiscal year end.

February 23: NSU-ASBO Doctoral Scholarship Application Deadline for 2007
Apply now to receive one of two half-tuition scholarships in Nova Southeastern University’s Doctor of Education (Ed.D.) degree program with a concentration in either educational leadership or organizational leadership and with a minor in school business leadership.

February 27: Apply to ASBO’s Professional Registration Program
Members who have demonstrated their expertise in school business administration through training, experience, and professional activities can qualify to have their credentials recognized with the RSBA, RSBO, or RSBS designation.

March 1: Apply for ASBO’s Meritorious Budget Awards
ASBO’s Meritorious Budget Awards Program (MBA) encourages and recognizes excellence in school system budgeting. Applications to the MBA Program must be received within 90 days of the legal adoption of the budget.

The United Kingdom’s National College for School Leadership (NCSL) is sponsoring a virtual conference on “Leading Schools in the 21st Century — The Role of the School Business Manager.” This conference will also
be recorded for use by ASBO International members.

ASBO's Facilities Masters Award Program recognizes school districts that meet the criteria for an outstanding facilities maintenance program. The award program is built upon best practices identified in the Planning Guide for Maintaining School Facilities.
