2016 SCHOOL BUSINESS OFFICIALS OF THE YEAR ANNOUNCED

Reston, VA – August 12, 2016 – The Association of School Business Officials International (ASBO) congratulates the 2016 Eagle Awards recipients for their dedication to students and commitment to leadership and fiscal responsibility. The Eagle Awards are the highest honor ASBO International bestows upon its members.

Lisa K. Frye, MBA, SFO, executive director of finance for Frederick County Public Schools in Winchester, VA, is the International Eagle Award winner. As the International Eagle Award recipient, Frye will receive a $5,000 college scholarship to present to a high school student.

The Distinguished Eagle Award recipients are:

  • Christine L. Lee, CPA, CA, CSBO, SFO, director of finance for Lethbridge School District No. 51 in Lethbridge, Alberta, Canada
  • Adam Stewart, chief financial officer for the Hillsboro School District in Hillsboro, Oregon
  • Mark Wilsey, MBA, CEM, facilities and operations officer for Harrison School District 2, Colorado Springs, Colorado

Each will receive a $2,500 college scholarship to present to a high school student and an invitation to attend the 2017 Eagle Institute, July 18-21, in Gettysburg, Pennsylvania—all expenses paid.

Formal presentation of the awards will take place on September 24 at ASBO International’s 2016 Annual Meeting & Expo in Phoenix, Arizona.
