School Business Officials Honored for Innovative Solutions

Reston, VA – June 27, 2018 – The Association of School Business Officials International (ASBO) is proud to announce the 2018 recipients of ASBO International’s Pinnacle Awards, which recognize innovative school business officials for their resourcefulness and ingenuity solving challenges facing school districts today.

ASBO International’s 2018 Pinnacle of Excellence Award honoree is Robert E. Wilkinson, director of maintenance and operations at Frederick County Public Schools in Frederick, MD, for an online, self-directed onboarding program that provides employees with the information they need to serve the district and its students.

The 2018 ASBO International Pinnacle of Achievement Award winners are:

Chris Potts, chief operating officer at Upper Arlington City Schools in Upper Arlington, OH, for a facilities master planning process that reflected the community’s vision for the future of the district.

John A. Williams, chief financial officer at Uinta County School District 1 in Evanston, WY, for an Excel Power Query-based process to streamline and automate reports and crosschecks.

Robert L. Yoder, RSBA, assistant superintendent at the Southern Hancock Schools in New Palestine, IN, for a creative planning process that transformed an outdated facility into a 21st century learning environment.

The awards showcase replicable projects and practices, which allow district business leaders to exchange and implement new ideas to better support their schools and communities, and are sponsored by Virco, Inc.
