ASBO International and American Fidelity Announce New Partnership
Ashburn, VA – January 2, 2019 – The Association of School Business Officials International (ASBO) is pleased to welcome American Fidelity as the new sponsor of the Certificate of Excellence in Financial Reporting (COE) award program. The COE promotes and recognizes school districts for excellence and transparency in the preparation and issuance of their Comprehensive Annual Financial Reports.

Participants submit their reports to a team of experienced school finance professionals who provide feedback on how to improve future documents. Comprehensive Annual Financial Reports that meet program requirements may receive the Certificate of Excellence. Receiving the COE may help strengthen a district’s presentation for bond issuance in addition to demonstrating to the community that it is committed to fiscal transparency.
