The Value of Membership

"I could not have survived 30 years in school business without the support I've received from ASBO. No matter how much you may think your problem is unique, it's not. I've always found support from colleagues facing the same issues no matter where they work, and I've shared solutions. We have a lot to learn from one another, so I value my memberships in Tri-State ASBO, New Hampshire ASBO, Vermont ASBO, and ASBO International."

Advocate for Quality Education

As a school business leader, you advocate for your students to ensure they have a quality education and ample resources to maximize their potential.

As your advocate, and an advocate of the school business profession, ASBO International is here to help you understand the federal issues affecting your school district and ensure your voice is heard.

Our legislative priorities include:

  • K–12 Education Funding. Adequate federal funding with minimal administrative burden is critical for schools to provide quality education services.
  • School Infrastructure & Safety. Direct investment and other federal financial supports are critical for schools to construct, maintain, and repair facilities, and to ensure that students have safe and healthy places to learn.
  • Child Nutrition. Schools need sustainable nutrition business models to provide students with affordable, nutritious, and delicious meals.
  • Healthcare Reform. Federal support, flexibility, and funding are necessary for states and school districts to implement healthcare reforms and regulations.
